i wish

i wish i could just move out already...& live somewhere where i feel like myself & not trapped in a cage.  a place that no matter what mood i'm in, i'm still somewhat happy & content with life.  thinking about this now i can only think of a few places where i feel this way.  too bad everything that makes you happy cost so damn much :/

The Flaming Lips

i have an other good show to add to my list.  last night the flaming lips played at The Fox Theater in Pomona .  it was amazing.  ghostland observatory opened for them & they were amazing as well.  their performance had an amazing light show, along with great music.  I had only heard a few songs from ghostland before the show, but after hearing some more of their songs i think their great!  nothing topped the flaming lips though.  when they first came on stage the lead singer Wayne was in a plastic bubble and floated on the stage over the audience, & I'm lucky to say that i was down their while it happened & got to be under the bubble with him in it.  they played all my favorite songs of theirs including: the yeah yeah yeah song, yoshimi battles the pink robots, she don't use jelly, & closed with my absolute favorite do you realize?  it was an incredible night and words cant express it.  this definitely falls under as one of my favorite shows.  if i could i could go back and relive the night all over, i would.  it still feels so surreal& i have to keep pinching myself to remember that it was real.  S-P-E-C-T-A-C-U-L-A-R!

500 Days of Summer

500 Days of Summer was a cute romantic comedy.  it's different though from your average romantic comedy.  It's a story about Tom who falls hard for a girl named Summer when he first set his eyes on her.  Zooey Deschanel is flawless, like she always is, but plays a sort of bitchy character, and plays it good.  she's not bitchy in the way a stuck up or a mean character would be, just that she doesn't really believe in love is really cynical about it to where she doesn't let Joseph Gordon Levitt's character to be in a serious relationship with her but leads him on, and feels some connection to him.  His feelings for her are definitely much more stronger then her feelings for him, but she does care a lot for him as a friend.  For Tom she was his soul mate and that it was fate that brought them together.  The movie revolves around their relationship and goes back and forth between past memories and what's going on in the present.  It ends in a way a romantic comedy would not normally end because Tom and Summer don't end up together, & she ends up getting married, which throws off for about a second.  The last time Summer & Tom see each other takes place in Tom's favorite place and the two get closure.  overall I thought it was a good movie.
