Augusten Burroughs is a one of a kind author who took his crazy child experiences and chronicled them into a very good memoir and an intersting, hilarious book filled with heartbeaking and funny situations that he experienced. I don't think I have ever read a story quite like Running with Scissors. The memories that Burroughs is sharing with you is so well described that you can picture them taking place in your head or being there right beside him. I don't know how I would have handled living in the Finch's household like he did, but he got through it and let readers into his crazy past. After reading Running with Scissors you will have a very different outlook on life and appreciate things or the people that you probably take for granted. I highly recommend to definately read this book, it's a great one. Thank you Mr. Burroughs for sharing your story.
